History and Pictures Spent 20 years in the USAF from 1965 until 1985. Married (initially) in 1966 and divorced in 1989 with three kids, Kris JR, Tammie and Thomas. Kris JR and Tammie live in Mississippi on the gulf coast and were hit pretty hard by Katrina. Thomas lives with me. In 1965, I went to boot camp at Lackland AFB, San Antonio Tx. Then on to tech school in Biloxi, MS. Graduated from there a year later and was stationed at a little Air Force Station on Red Rock Mountain in Eastern PA. In 1969, the AF sent me to Libya, Africa where fighter pilots who were headed to Vietnam were trained. From there, I was stationed near Dayton, OH at Wright-Patterson AFB and then stationed in 1977 in Hawaii for three years at Hickam AFB on Oahu. I ended up back at Keesler in Biloxi, MS where I retired from the AF in 1985. After the AF, I opened a little computer business which did OK until the Government contracts ran out so I moved to Detroit for a year and worked for Mercy Information Systems, the corporate office for a chain of 18 hospitals. Then spent another year in Everett, WA (near Seattle) working as the IT director for Providence Hospital. In 1990, I moved to Sterling, VA (near Washington DC) and worked for Horizon Data Corporation for ten years until they downsized during the dot-com bust. Now, I work for myself doing whatever comes along. After moving to DC, I remarried in 1993 to Patrice who has three kids also, Ashley, Kyle and Jessie. Ashley is a graduated from Radford U. and now lives in Connecticut. Kyle works for an international shipping company and Jessie is in college at Radford. The place I like the most is the beach! So far, I've had the good fortune to vacation in Aruba; at a club med in the Bahamas; a resort in St. Lucia; and the best place, the Grand Lido Negril in Jamaica. In the states we get to Nags Head, Virginia Beach and occasionally to Florida to visit my Dad. Pictures - Click on the small one for a larger version
